After Grace's last visit to "Salon de Mommy", I decided not to attempt to cut her hair again. So last week we went to the hair dresser for a real haircut. It was actually a last minute decision to go. On Veteran's day, I was taking the kids to playtime only to find out it was canceled. I had gone to all the trouble of getting both kids ready and out of the house, so I thought we are going to do something before we go back home, and I remembered Hunter and I talking about getting Grace's haircut. However, we both thought it would be way too much hassle for everyone involved, but as we left the community center, I told her we were going to the hair dresser to get her hair trimmed. She promptly responded with a "No" to which I said "Yes" and that was the end of the debate. Fortunately we had a 20 minute wait, and Grace was able to watch some other young kids getting their hair cut. When her time came she did not put up a fuss at all, except for the spray bottle used to wet her hair. She held her pink puppy dog the whole time and did better than I could have ever hoped.
Sometimes kids can really surprise you.
